I'm looking for a chiropractor but I also heard that i should try a massage therapist. what is the difference and has anyone use one on the west side of Houston. My back has been hurting and I am looking around but would like to hear from someone's personal experience.
I've also heard that with chiropractors my back will get worse before it gets better. Is this true? It doesn'nt make sense to me.
Thanks.
Hi! I was in a car accident and had been using a massage therapist for work/maintenance on my back. I used a chiropractor for a while, but my muscles started having an adverse reaction to it.
Chiropractors work more on your spine/bone placement, but they can do a little electroshock for muscles.
A good massage therapist works wonders on your whole body. Muscles mostly, but if you go to one who knows what they're doing, it will help with common colds, sinus problems, etc.
I am from Dallas, and I quit going to my massage therapist because she moved to Houston. Not sure what side of Houston she is on, but the name of her business is Heavenly Touch Massage Therapy, and her name is Kathy.

I'm a chiropractor, sometimes maybe 10% fell more soreness after there first few adjustments. 90% fell better right away. Think of it this way~ working out is good for you, right. Sometimes 2 people can do the exact same workout one is sore the other is not. Anyways I Hope you make the call today, you will be so happy you did.

Go to the chiropractor~ See Dr. White he is the best!!!!!
Worse is not the word you want to use, sometimes in some patient, they feel more soreness after their first couple of adjustments because the spine has not been in the proper alignment for awhile and the muscles have gotten use to the out of aligned position when the doctor puts it back in alignment it can get sore at first. If left out of aligned for a prolong period of time is when people usual start having more and more problems.~ Hope that helps
