I went to one for a couple of years do to a degenerative disease in my neck. She was in with my chiropractor. I wish I could still afford to go. She was amazing, and soon, I had no more pain. It is so relaxing. I wish I had my own personal massage therapist 24/7, how about you!

When I used to work my company had a guy who came in three times a week and gave 15-30 massages for $10 and $20. It was amazing. I really miss how much better I felt and it was so relaxing and a real destresser. More companies should have that!

I visited my Son and his family during the week of my birthday. They took me to a massage therapist for my birthday. The first I've ever been to. Wonderful! A teeny bit sore the next day…but it was soooo worth it!

Several times. The best one was last summer in St. George, Utah.

The worst was at a chain massage parlor called "Massage Envy".

Yes, I wish I could have a professional massage every day.

Yes and both were fantastic, I had had major surgery and was in constant pain with my back and shoulders. My doctor prescribed the therapist he went to, she was a retired RN. Within three sessions the pain I had had for almost 2 years was gone. Years later I tripped and fell in a ditch, the neck pain came back with a vengeance. A co worker gave me the name of a Chinese lady, The pain was gone in TWO sessions.

The massage therapist was many years ago when I was in the hospital..but I went for a massage a few years ago and it was heaven . I can almost imagine how wonderful it felt . There was a girl I worked with once who used to come up to my desk and massage my neck and shoulders if I wasn't feeling good . I almost forget about that . I never had to ask . I wouldn't mind a message twice a day for the rest of my life . I could get used to that .

One of my very first jobs was manager for a health club. It fell upon me to hire a new masseuse, and I had to interview several. As part of the job application process, each applicant had to give me a massage. Needless to say, I interviewed as many as I could get away with before making my decision.

Yes I had had a seizure and when I fell, it was on a tile floor and I dislocated my shoulder…the massage therapist got my muscles sorted out and popped the joint back into place..it hurt so bad! But then it healed, now, good as ever…

My son and daughter in law are both registered massage therapists so when I want or need a massage I offer babysitting services in exchange for a massage. My daughter in law has just started doing hot stone massage and it's the best of both worlds!

I went to one on a regular basis for a while too. The price just got so high I had to quit. I miss it. A good massage is heaven!

First I had physical therapy for 7 1/2 months, which the insurance paid for. That made me stronger, but didn't help a pinched nerve in my neck that went down my arm to the thumb.

I had a friend whose daughter was a massage therapist and after 5 visits, she fixed me. Yes, it is expensive and the insurance wouldn't pay a dime of it.

I continued to go and so did my husband, but now she has taken a job on a cruise liner as one of their massage therapists.

    Really miss her.

I've never gone to one but I did have one come to me twice a week for about six weeks after heart surgery… She truly helped me survive the aftermath of the surgery. My spine was slightly injured when my ribcage was spread and I had severe pain and spasms in the muscles in the area of the clavicles.

Like you, I wish I could afford to have her in at least once a week just for the relaxation it brings.

I have a good friend that is a massage therapist. She also works on pressure points. Talk about a person with healing hands….she is truely gifted. The only problem is that she lives 1000 miles away from me. I've been to local massage therapist and find that they pale in comparison. If I could afford it I'd move her up here and put her on my payroll.LOL I too have degenerative disk disease in my neck and fibromylgia. If I could afford a good massage once a week I feel it would benefit many of my symptoms. Our insurance doesn't cover this, I don't know of any that do. It's really to bad as I feel it would probably put a stop to many prescriptions that doctors have to write for our condition.
