We know that feminists advocate meaningless sex to the point that abortions are an acceptable antidote to its consequences (hedonism). We also know that feminism stresses the material wealth of a career over the rewards that come from the personal relationships of a loving family (materialism).

But which is the more motivating force for feminists? Would it be classified as a hedonistic or materialistic philosophy…Or some combination of the two?
Rio: You're obviously very inexperienced if you think that a career provides intellectual and emotional benefits. In virtually all cases, careers are detrimental to both.
odzookers: I didn't say abortion was pleasure for it's own sake, but rather it removed the consequences of sex such that sex can be pursued as pleasure for its own sake without the consequences that result.

Neither.

What's a more accurate classification of anti-feminism: arrogance or egotism?

If it's a choice between those two (and it isn't), it would be closer to hedonism. Feminists emphasized the importance of a career primarily for its intellectual and emotional benefits; money was second.

I want it noted that I get a physical reaction after reading the words "loving family." THAT can kiss it.

Given the career first mentality, I'd say 80/20…Materialism.

It appears to be a mix of the two.

Feminism has become a fad amongst chicks in school and colleges. Very often you come across them saying things like 'I'm the Prez of the Feminist group at school' or 'Feminism is about empowering Women' or something like that. The reality is that these chicks have NO idea of what's going on beyond the Atlantic or the Pacific, or what happened 40 years ago.

I summarily dismiss their obsession with Feminism as a fad and owe it to their ignorance. Hedonism and Materialism are just too big of concepts that they could grasp/understand.

It is neither. You have had to create cartoon simplifications in order to force "career" into a material category only, and impute casual sex as a centerpiece of the idea system. And since when is abortion hedonistic, a pleasure to be pursued for its own sake? The Jesuits have a word for this sort of distorted characterization through attenuated logic: "casuistry." It is both intellectually and morally reprehensible because it distorts both in order to make a superficial, facile, and otherwise indefensible position look appealing. Lipstick on a pig.

    materialistic.

meaningless sex is hardly advocated, but taking money from men or the state is at the top of the feminist's agenda.
